Halemaumau Eruption by Bryan Lowry

Aloha,

After numerous trips to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park in the past two months, I now have several new photos from the latest volcanic activity available on hawaiiart.com. There were some long cold rainy nights and very long hikes involved as usual but, it was all worth it! Most of the night images allowed limited time to capture in between heavy rains. The Halemaumau collection, Halemaumau Eruption 6204, Halemaumau Eruption 6206 and Halemaumau Eruption 6213 are all long exposures of the eruption and the Milky Way glowing brightly in the sky.

Also included are sunrise photos of the new eruption and daylight images. All are the best you’ll find of this new activity. New images of Orchids have also been added to my gallery.

Art Maui 2008

Stephanie Sachs gives a tour of Art Maui 2008 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Centerʻs Schaefer International Gallery. During the tour, video artist Tom Sewell talks about his exhibited video, “Sewellʻs Family of Man.” Art Maui will be on exhibit at the Schaefer Gallery through April 6th.
